Picking up the Pieces is a unique quilt ministry offering custom made quilts for comforting those you love in their time of need.
Quilts have a long history of providing comfort and warmth.
Many times when our friends and loved ones are hurting, there are no words
to adequately convey what is on our hearts.
Let our quilts say it for you.

These are suggested times when quilts would be a most welcome gift of comfort:

  • Death
  • Broken relationships
  • Relocation (home, job, church, etc)
  • Recovery from trauma
  • Recovery from addictions of all kinds
  • Loss of job, position or identity/role
  • Accident, chronic/terminal illness, or change in body image
  • Infertility, miscarriage, infant or child death
  • Failing test, failing to graduate or be promoted
  • Shattered dreams…

    Our quilts are made from new, 100% cotton fabrics, with either cotton , polyester, or poly-blend battings. They can be purchased ready-made or may be custom ordered to suit the personality of the recipient. For example, perhaps your friend has just lost her mother – a quilt can be made with fabrics which reflect her mother’s life featuring prints and solids to represent her favorite foods, her favorite colors, her hobbies, leisure time activities, favorite animals, etc. We can make the quilt extremely personal without using photos and recommend this option, as a quilt will last longer without them. Our quilts are meticulously pieced and machine quilted with hand sewn bindings. They hold up beautifully through many bouts of tears, snuggling, and through many washings.

    We specialize in what we call “Personal sized quilts”, which are usually just shy of a twin size (about 50" x 60"); the perfect size for snuggling up with on couches and chairs without being too bulky. We are also happy to provide twin, full, queen or king as desired.

    Let our quilts say what words cannot express—comfort, love, concern, sympathy, compassion and companionship. They will wrap your loved one in comfort, sweet memories and your love when they most need it. The unique nature of these lovely quilts destines them to become treasured heirlooms.
